With more than 20 years of experience in the audiovisual sector, he has worked in film, television and advertising projects, directing and working as second unit in different productions of important international gage.
As a series director, Gabriel Díaz has a career on the rise, with a resume that includes the series “BALA LOCA” (2016), for Netflix and Amazon Prime’s smash hit “EL PRESIDENTE” (2020). In addition to this, there are other series such as “KARMA” (2011) and “HUMANOS EN EL CAMINO” (2008).
As director of photography and camera, he has worked with award-winning directors such as Sebastián Lelio, Matías Bize, Pablo Larraín, Sebastián Silva, Valeria Sarmiento and the recognized documentary filmmaker Ignacio Agüero. Internationally, his most current project is “ROTTING IN THE SUN” (USA), by director Sebastián Silva, recently premiered at Sundance.
In a project born from the connection between filmmakers from all over the world, such as Mongolia and the UK, Gabriel directed the short film called “GRAVITY” (2020), being part of a project that converges three stories created and produced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a second unit director, he participated in “NO” (2012), a film by Pablo Larraín nominated for an Oscar in 2012; the series “FUGITVES” (2011), for HBO also directed by Larraín, and “EL REFUGIO” (2022), a Lionsgate series, co-produced by Mexico-Chile and directed by Pablo Fendrik.
