Amalia Kassai is a film and television actress, with dual Chilean and German nationality.

 

In film, Amalia has been directed by the most prestigious directors in her country. Among them, Manuela Martelli with “1976” (2022), premiered at the Cannes Film Festival; Pablo Larraín with “SAYEN 3” (in development) for Amazon Prime, BURNING PATIENCE(2022) directed by Rodrigo Sepúlveda for Netflix, premiered at the Mar del Plata Festival, and “ALGORITMO” (2020), musical short film directed by Sebastián Lelio, for Netflix.

In television, she starred in the soap opera “HELGA Y FLORA” (2020) for Canal 13. She was also part of “100 DÍAS PARA ENAMORARSE” (2019) and “CASA DE MUÑECOS” (2018), both for the television channel MEGA; and “GEMELAS” (2019) for Chilevisión.

 

Amalia has an extensive career, both in Chile and Germany, where she has also worked as a teacher of acting and stage direction. She is also fluent in Spanish, German and English.

In theater Amalia has been part of productions such as “MUCHO RUIDO, POCAS NUECES” directed by Alexander Stillmark in Germany, “CUESTIÓN DE PRINCIPIOS” by Jesús Urqueta and “COMIDA ALEMANA” by Cristián Plana, among many others.

 

She has also created numerous video art montages and installations, such as “NO TITLE YET” (2023), premiered in Berlin and “PROMETO ARDER” premiered at the Santiago Film Festival.
